A section from one of my old journals.
—-When I’m working in the wood shop or working on a piece of music, it is less about what I’m doing and what I’ll end up with as it is about living up to who I am the best i can and how I’m evolving because of it.
The difficult part in keeping that attitude real is making sure the desire of what I love isn’t used as a mechanism simply to ward off poverty but to present something genuine without it being crafted into a sound or image I assume the world needs or even wants.
Keep a lookout for those ways, means and opportunities that edge you closer to the endeavors you find inspiring, whether it’s in the form if time, resources, or encouragement, then put your hand to it and let the extent and outcome be what it will.
